Beard and Facial Hair Transplantation
You can have the moustache, goatee, cheek beard, that you want!
Service Description
Beard hair transplantation is a safe and reliable method to restore your beard when suitable donor hair is available. This procedure is increasingly popular for a range of needs: restoring small areas of sparse hair (focal hypotrichia), repairing beard or moustache hair loss due to trauma, scars, surgery, acne, or radiotherapy, connecting areas such as the moustache to a goatee, or restoring larger beard areas. Ideally, donor hair comes from your own beard, but if insufficient, scalp hair may be used. Beard transplantation mostly involves single hair follicle placement to achieve natural results. Before considering surgery, a face-to-face consultation at the New Zealand Hair Transplantation Institute™ is required to determine suitability. Your surgeon will assess: Medical fitness and ability to lie for extended periods Donor site availability Scarring that may affect graft survival Realistic expectations and potential need for repeat procedures Risk of cosmetic effects, such as “cobblestoning” in the goatee area Long Hair FUE and Partial Shave FUE options are available for patients without sufficient beard hair. A consultation is required before a quote can be provided. Standard consultation fees apply. If surgery is requested outside normal hours or paid by credit card, a surcharge may apply. We’re here for your hair© All prices and quotations are inclusive of GST and include the operating theatre fee and follow-up consultations.
