Service Description

Hair Transplantation is a SAFE and RELIABLE method to restore your hairloss if you have suitable donor hair. Minimum hair transplantation amount we offer is 400 Follicular Units which is on average 1000 hairs (average is 2.6 hairs per follicular unit). The amount will cover approximately 10 cm square region (ie an area of 3.1cm x 3.1cm). Depending on the size of the area you require to restore your hairline, or improve density in your thinning or balding hairline will determine the amount of follicles you require. Naturally extensive areas such as balding, thinning crowns or the top of your scalp / head require more extensive surgery. Most patients require on average 900 Follicular Units which covers an area about 30 cm2. 900 follicular units are approximately 2340 hairs which will cost $12,825. To calculate how many follicles you require, depends on the surface area and preexisting density of hair. By improving your density in the front of your scalp, you will be able to hide thinning/receding of your hair, and remove the early signs of aging as the loss of your hair is often associated with being older. We are able to safely and reliably transplant hair into the area where you would like your hair to be restored. We also offer LONG hair transplantation if you do not want to shave your head completely for surgery. For the fully shaved procedure, we recommend that you have a number zero hair cut the day before surgery, so the length of your hair is approximately 0.5mm long. On the day of the procedure it is strongly recommended to wear a button up shirt ie no tee shirt. The surgery takes place in our fully equipped surgical suite, performed by New Zealand born, trained and permanently domiciled hair surgeons/doctors in Auckland who are here all the time to look after you. Please note all quotes are valid for six months only, as your personal hair situation may change and hence your treatment plan may need alteration. If you wish to pay for your surgery with your creditcard or have surgery outside of our normal business hours, then a surcharge is applicable. A face to face consultation is always required prior to accepting any booking for surgery. Please note, all prices and quotes are inclusive of GST. The fee includes the operating theatre fee.
