Initial Consultation for Hair Restoration Surgery Hair transplantation is a well-established and reliable surgical option for restoring hair to the scalp, beard, moustache, or eyebrows when clinically appropriate. Before Your Consultation All patients are required to complete a confidential medical history form prior to their appointment. This allows your surgeon to review relevant medical information and prepare for a thorough and personalised assessment. We offer video consultations for patients residing outside Auckland. However, a comprehensive clinical assessment and accurate surgical quotation can only be provided during a face-to-face consultation. For this reason, all patients must attend an in-person consultation before any surgery can be scheduled. What to Expect During Your Consultation During your consultation, your hair transplant surgeon will: Assess the health of your scalp and hair, including donor suitability Discuss scientifically supported, prescription-only medical treatments where appropriate Explore surgical and non-surgical options for hair restoration on the scalp or other areas of the body Provide an individualised treatment plan and an accurate quotation based on your clinical assessment This consultation is an essential step in ensuring informed decision-making and safe surgical planning. Your Consultation Appointment Consultations are conducted exclusively by your hair transplant surgeon, who is New Zealand-born, locally trained, and permanently based in Auckland. This ensures continuity of care and direct access to your surgeon throughout your treatment journey. Clinic hours: Monday to Thursday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Secure on-site parking is available for your convenience. Please note that all surgical quotations are valid for six months from the date of consultation. If surgery is not undertaken within this period, a reassessment consultation may be required.
